Mitsumata

‘Mitsumata’ has a smooth and elegant appearance exuding a rich yet subtle natural gloss. In order to maximize the fineness of the mitsumata fiber, the paper’s coating is kept to a bare minimum.
‘Mitsumata Double Layered’ is two-layered laminated paper; the top printing side being composed of 100% mitsumata fiber while the back ‘peel-away” side is composed of pulp. ‘Mitsumata Double Layered’ is recommended to use for scroll paintings, unique works of fine art or for antique print replicas.

‘Bizan’ is a meticulously crafted handmade paper that emits a mood of elegance and luxury while retaining the utmost characteristics of washi. This warm matte sheet has 4 organic deckled edges and is made 1 sheet at a time by Awagami’s master papermakers. ‘Bizan’ is thicker than most fine art inkjet papers and is thus capable of hanging without the need of matting or a frame. ‘Kozo Double Layered’ is two-layered paper; its printable side composed of 100% kozo fiber and back made from a unique blended pulp mix. This paper may be peeled into two sheets after printing and is most often recommended for original and reproductions of Asian scrolls. Kozo Double Layered is also used for works of fine art, backlit photography, and reproduction of fine art prints and antique replicas.
